Such systems employ information and communications technologies to widen access, improve quality, and increase service efficiency in health sector. Almost all stakeholders, as suggested by World Health Organization (WHO), have recognized the potential effectiveness of e-health in modern era, particularly in low- and middle-income countries where high quality, affordability, and accessibility of healthcare services remain a major challenge.
